Southend safer care Leavers
Southend Safer Care Leavers is an information service for young people, intended to ensure Care Leavers are ready to take charge of their own health care. We want anyone to understand the services that are available, how to access them, what is free and what has a cost. This information
is available either online or offline 24/7 and is intended to be accessible when young people need it.
Our website includes help, signposting, and information on the NHS, GPs, dentists, opticians, and mental health services available in the Southend area.
It will be available from the SSCL website in the form of films, which have been made to work with computers, smartphones, and tablets, and as a printed pack which is available from the Leaving Care Team, Southend Virtual School, and can be printed from the website via a PDF.
